Spontaneous Human Combustion:
Spontaneous Human Combustion (SHC) is a rare enigmatic phenomenon that occurs when the human body ignites from within itself for no apparent reason. Hundreds of cases of SHC have been reported and documented over the past few hundred years and many are eye witness accounts. For additional information regarding spontaneous human combustion please visit:
Time Travel:
Time travel is a form of teleportation. Many people claim to have temporarily traveled back or forward in time. Alleged spontaneous involuntary time travel is also known a time slip. It has been theorized that time slips occur when lingering energy from a traumatic event (past or future) creates a portal to the actual event. A person who happens to be at the right place at the right time can inadvertently enter it. It has also been theorized that some people are more susceptible to time slips. For additional information regarding time travel and teleportation please visit:
Miracles:
Miracles are extraordinary events brought about by divine intervention to benefit people. They are affirmations of faith that defy the laws of nature and often answer prayers. Most miracles involve seemingly impossible occurrences. They often include the appearance of religious icons in unlikely places, statues that exhibit lifelike characteristics, and the curing of the terminally
ill. For additional information regarding miracles, please visit:
Synchronicity:
Many people believe that coincidences happen for a specific reason. As a result, profound coincidences are frequently interpreted as omens. The famous psychologist and philosopher Carl Jung coined the term synchronicity to convey this belief as well as his belief that coincidences connect mind with matter. Synchronicity occurrences can also be manifested through intuition and insight.
For additional information regarding synchronicity please visit:
Meaningful coincidences can also span time as is exemplified by the Lincoln-Kennedy connection. For additional information regarding the Lincoln-Kennedy connection please visit:
Spontaneous Human Involuntary Invisibility:
Spontaneous human involuntary invisibility (SHII) is, surprisingly, a relatively common occurrence which has been reported since ancient times. It is a frustrating and sometimes frightening phenomenon in which the subject suddenly finds themselves being ignored in public places because they can not be seen or heard by anyone but themselves. The phenomenon can occur anywhere, however. For additional information regarding spontaneous human combustion please visit:
Other Realms:
Many people believe that other dimensions and parallel universes coexist with our own and that numerous vortexes (portals) leading to them exist all over the world. Psychics theorize that areas of intense paranormal activity such as UFO hot spots and haunted places serve as vortexes. Famous vortexes in the Unites States include:
- The Big Thicket - Eastern Texas / Southwestern Louisiana
- The Bigelow Ranch - Uintah Basin, Utah
- The Bridgewater Triangle - Massachusetts
- Point Pleasant, West Virginia
- The Superstition Mountains of Arizona

Reincarnation:
Reincarnation is the rebirth of a soul into another body after death. It is an accepted belief in many religions including Hinduism, whose rules of Karma state that a person's actions will influence their future life. Manifestations of reincarnation include memories of the past life, unexplainable knowledge of an earlier era or past civilization, and detailed knowledge of a language which is foreign and unfamiliar to the subject. For additional information regarding reincarnation, please visit:
Stigmata:
Stigmata is the spontaneous appearance of temporary bleeding wounds mimicking those suffered during the crucifixion of Christ. Although well documented, researchers of this enigma disagree as to whether or not it is supernatural or psychosomatic. For additional information regarding stigmata please visit:
Materialization:
Anomalous materialization is a form of teleportation and is the physical manifestation of matter from nothing. Objects that materialize are called apports. Materialization is controversial because many fraudulent cases have been proven, usually during seances. For additional information regarding materialization, please visit:
Numerology:
Numerology is the interpretation of the relationship and effects that numbers seem to have upon people and their day-to-day reality. Numerologists believe in lucky and unlucky numbers and that everything has a numerical translation. Numerology has nothing to do with mathematics. For additional information regarding numerology please visit:
Sorcery:
Also known as witchcraft or black magic, sorcery utilizes prayers, spells, and curses in attempts to influence future events. Sorcery was first used by ancient civilizations as a means of ensuring productive harvests. It quickly became a means of attempting to influence fate. Although every civilization has developed its own forms of sorcery, many frown upon its use and ridicule it. For additional information regarding sorcery please visit:
In 17th Century America, accused witches were put to death during the infamous Salem Witch Trials.

Missing Time:
Cases of missing time date back thousands of years. The term refers to brief or lengthy periods which are unaccounted for as the result of unknown circumstances. Missing time is usually associated with alleged UFO abductees who suffered amnesia as a result of their experience and who later recalled the traumatic events. Missing time is frequently accounted for during hypnosis. For
additional information regarding missing time, please visit:
Mystery Spots:
Also called gravity hills, mystery spots are places where the laws of physics do not seem to apply due to converging electromagnetic fields. Cars and balls roll uphill, objects stand on-end at bizarre angles, and people and objects appear larger or smaller in relation to each other depending on their location within the area: Although many genuine mystery spots exist worldwide, many have been exposed as hoaxes or optical illusions. For additional information regarding mystery spots please visit:
The most famous miracles of the modern era occurred in Lourdes, France and Fatima, Portugal. For additional information please visit:
Levitation:

Spontaneous Remission: Usually associated with cancer patients, spontaneous remission refers to the sudden halting of the spread of a chronic disease or medical condition for no apparent reason. For additional information please visit:
Medical Enigmas:
Mainstream scientists have begun to recognize many medical practices such as acupuncture, and the placebo effect for their healing effects. Others, such as faith healing, have been
rejected outright, although there have been many successful instances.
Acupuncture: Acupuncturists place needles at strategic locations throughout the human body to treat physical ailments and disease. Also known as acupressure, Acupuncture originated in China thousands of years ago and is highly effective It is widely believed that the technique redirects energy flow to affected areas of the mind and body. For additional information please visit:
Faith Healing: Also known as 'the laying on of hands", faith healers use spiritual energy to treat diseases and ailments. Spiritual energy is transferred from the healer's body to the subject's body through the sense of touch. Many evangelical faith healers have been exposed as frauds or hoaxers and, as a result, it is one of the most controversial medical enigmas. For additional information please visit:
The Coral Castle: Homestead Florida's Coral Castle is an architectural enigma. Completed in 1940, it was constructed from over 1100 tons of carved coral over a 28 year period by an eccentric and reclusive Latvian immigrant named Ed Leedskalnin, allegedly without any assistance from other people or heavy machinery. Leedskalnin claimed to have used the same techniques developed by the ancient Egyptians to construct the Pyramids. Like India's Taj Mahal, the Coral Castle was built as a monument to a lost love. Ironically, it is one of the few structures to have survived fully intact following the devastation of Hurricane Andrew in 1992. For additional information please visit:
Area 51: Also known as Groom Lake and Dreamland, Area 51 is part of a highly secretive US military base located near Las Vegas, Nevada. It is rumored to be the testing area of highly classified military and alien aircraft. It is also rumored to house highly hazardous materials. For additional information please visit:
The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy: Debate continues regarding whether JFK was the victim of a group of conspirators or a lone gunman. Evidence supports the conspiracy theory, but there are too many missing pieces of the puzzle. For additional information please visit:
The Bermuda Triangle: The Bermuda Triangle encompasses approximately 1,500,000 square miles of the Atlantic Ocean between Bermuda, Miami, and San Juan. It is the most famous hot spot for the disappearance of sea going vessels and aircraft, hundreds of which have been documented since the early 19th Century. Rumored anomalous occurrences in the Bermuda Triangle date back to the expeditions of Christopher Columbus. Its most famous disappearances include the Cyclops in 1918 (with a crew of over 300), all five aircraft of Flight 19 in 1945 (which included 5 military planes and 14 crewmen), and a rescue plane (with 13 crewmen aboard) which was immediately dispatched to locate Flight 19. Anomalous occurrences which have been reported within the Bermuda Triangle include spinning compasses, electromagnetic interference, and strange fog. Current theories posed to explain the enigma include discharges of methane gas bubbles from the sea floor which may greatly reduce the buoyancy of the water. Other theories suggest interdimensional portals, UFOs, and time travel. For additional information please visit:
Bible Codes: Bible Codes are coded messages hidden within the text of the Old Testament. Coded words consist of letters that are equally spaced either forward, backward, vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. Ironically, it is relatively easy to find codes relating to past and current events but practically impossible to locate codes relating to future events. Skeptics argue that similar codes are found in all books. The fact that this is true makes the phenomenon even more intriguing because Bible Code messages are the most profound. New Bible codes are discovered every day. For additional information please visit:
The Black Dahlia Murder: The Black Dahlia was an aspiring actress named Elizabeth Short who's brutal 1947 murder and dismemberment is one of Hollywood's greatest mysteries. For additional information please visit:
Cattle Mutilations: The anomalous mutilation of cattle and livestock has plagued the Western hemisphere for decades. A few of the incidents have been linked to religious sects but the majority go unsolved. Most cases occur in tandem with other paranormal phenomenon, most notably UFO activity. Common characteristics of cattle mutilations is a lack of blood, laser-like precision of tissue and organ removal, and an aversion to carcases by scavengers. In rare cases, witnesses have reported the levitation of an animal prior to its mutilation. For additional information please visit:
Crop Circles: Crop Circles are large geometric patterns that usually appear overnight in farm fields and in large grassy areas. However, many elaborate patterns have reportedly been created within minutes, or even seconds, during daylight. Crop circles usually form in areas which experience UFO phenomenon and many people believe that they are created by UFOs. The formations are created when vegetation is flattened. While most are unexplainable, several people have admitted to creating many of them. Ironically, the most complex crop circle formations are the most enigmatic. The worldwide phenomenon has occurred for hundreds of years but gained notoriety in Great Britain during the 1980s. Newer geometric designs have become much larger and more complex over the years as the phenomenon evolves. Early examples, which seemed complex when they were created, now pale in comparison to current ones. For additional information please visit:
The Death of Marilyn Monroe: The death of Marilyn Monroe is Hollywood's greatest mystery. Debate rages as to whether her 1962 drug overdose was a murder or a suicide. Proponents of the murder theory note her romantic ties to both President John F. Kennedy and his brother Robert Kennedy. Supporters of the suicide theory note her severe depression and bizarre behavior. For additional information please visit:
Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP): EVP occurs when unexplainable voices and/or sounds are recorded electronically or transmitted electronically via radio, television. telephone, or modem. Many EVP voices and sounds sounds are not decipherable and many EVP voices can only be understood when played backwards. Many parapsychologists believe that EVP is the most effective means for communication with spirits. For additional information please visit:
The Hutchison Effect: The Hutchison Effect is a variety of anomalous phenomena which include large scale levitation, heating, fusing, and/or separation of materials caused by relatively small amounts of anomalous radio wave interference. For additional information please visit:
Jack the Ripper: The case of Jack the Ripper is history's greatest unloved murder mystery. Jack the Ripper was a knife wielding serial killer who stalked prostitutes in London's East End during 1888. Suspects included a woman, a medical doctor, and a member of the British Royal family. For additional information please visit:
Kirlean Photography: Kirlean Photography is the photography of auras (the life force of living creatures). Kirlian photographs resemble coronal discharges and are produced by exposing photographic plates to high voltage electrical fields. Evidence shows that different shapes, colors, and brightness of photographed auras reflect the health and state of mind of the subject. For additional information please visit:
The Lost Colony of Roanoke: The Roanoke Colony was established in 1585 on Roanoke Island, off the coast of what would become North Carolina. It was England's first North American colony but in1587 all 90 of the remaining colonists vanished without a trace. The only clue to their demise was the word "Croatoan" which was carved into a piece of wood used as a post and which apparently referred to a neighboring island. One theory suggests that the colonists were killed during an Indian attack. Another suggests that they were captured by the Indians and interbred with them. A third supposes that they relocated to the Chesapeake Bay area where they had originally intended to settle. For additional information please visit:
The Lost Dutchman Gold Mine: The Lost Dutchman Gold Mine is located somewhere within the Superstition Mountains of Arizona. Its first owner/operators were supposedly killed by Apache Indians in 1848 and it's location was forgotten. It was supposedly rediscovered during the 1870s by a German immigrant, for whom it is named. Following his death, it's location was forgotten again. Rumors have persisted ever since regarding large deposits of gold still remaining within it as well as plunder taken from it and hidden in the surrounding area. Adding to the lore of the legend is the strangeness of the Superstition Mountains and mysterious occurrences that are common there. For additional information please visit:
The Money Pit of Oak Island: Oak Island is located off the coast of Nova Scotia, Canada. What lies at the bottom of its infamous Money Pit has become one of history's greatest enigmas. Since the booby trapped pit was discovered over 200 years ago, all attempts to reach its bottom have failed, and many have been deadly. Rumors that the pit contains pirate treasure, crown jewels, or the Holy Grail fuels the quest. For additional information please visit:
The Philadelphia Experiment: During 1943 the US Navy allegedly performed a force field experiment called Project Rainbow which rendered one of its ships (the USS Eldridge) and its crew invisible to radar and the naked eye.while instantly teleporting them from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Norfolk, Virginia. While invisibility and teleportation were successful, the experiment's effects on crew members were catastrophic. While many went insane, others became partially invisible or became fused with the decks and walls of the ship. Many crew members were instantly incinerated while many died later on. The US Navy contends that rumors of the experiment originated as a result of the installation of degaussing equipment which can make ships less magnetically susceptible to mine fields. The Roswell Incident: The Roswell Incident is the most controversial UFO incident on record. It occurred in July 1947, just days after the term "flying saucer" was coined by Kenneth Arnold (during his own unrelated UFO incident near Mt. Rainier, Washington). The Roswell incident has inspired countless books, movies, and television shows and has become the epitome of government cover-ups. The events of the Roswell incident began following the alleged crash and recovery of a UFO, as well as its dead and surviving occupants, on a ranch near Roswell, New Mexico. The case is most notable due to the exceptional number of credible witnesses, including military personnel. For additional information please visit:
Skyfish: Also called flying rods, skyfish are enigmatic anomalies that appear only on videotape or film. First discovered in 1994, they appear to be minute insect like creatures whose rapid movements can't be seen by the naked eye. For additional information please visit:
The Tunguska Incident: In June of 1908 an object from space exploded in the Tunguska region of Siberia, leveling everything for hundreds of thousands of square miles. Witnesses to the event included passengers aboard a trans-Siberian railroad and local nomadic residents of the vastly secluded region. Although scientists believe that the object was either a small comet or asteroid, many witnesses stated that the object was cylindrical and that it made several 45 degree changes in course before exploding about 5 miles above the Earth. In the days following the explosion, residents and animals in the area began to show signs of radiation sickness. For additional information please visit:

Fortune Telling: Fortune telling is a form of divination which utilizes psychic abilities, palm readings, astrology, tarot cards, crystal balls, and tea leaves. For additional information please visit:
Prophecy:
Prophecy is the calculation of future events and has been practiced throughout human
history. it has existed in various forms which include:
Omens: Omens are signs of good and bad future events and their interpretation is considered a form of divination. Unlike oracles, they are occur randomly and can appear anytime, anyplace. Anomalies (strange events) are often considered bad omens and predictors of disasters. For additional information please visit:
Oracles: Oracles are vessels of divination and are portents to future events. They can be people (such as prophets or fortune tellers), objects (such as crystal balls), or substances (such as water). Unlike omens, they offer interpretations of information regarding specific events. In ancient times oracles were located in temples. In modern times they can be located anywhere. For additional information please visit:
Visions: Visions are profound glimpses of future events and their ramifications. They are often religious in nature and can occur randomly through inspiration or in dreams. They often contain symbolism and hidden messages. For additional information please visit:

Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs):
UFOs are probably the most enigmatic phenomenon and have existed since the dawn of Mankind. UFOs seem to stay several steps ahead of Mankind's attempts to solve their mystery. The modern era of UFOlogy began on June 24th, 1947 when a businessman named Kenneth Arnold coined the term "flying saucer" after spotting several airborne saucer shaped objects while flyinf near Mt. Rainier in Washington State. UFO sightings occur anytime, anywhere and frequently occur in waves lasting days, weeks, months, or years in the same location (hot spot).
UFO lore: UFO lore includes tales of ancient astronauts, UFO crashes, secret UFO technology installations, government cover-ups, alien interaction, alien abduction, missing time, men-in-black visitations, strange black helicopters, surgical procedures, hybrid breeding, cattle mutilations, space & time travel, and end-of-the-world warnings.
Famous UFO cases: The most famous UFO case is The Roswell Incident of July 1947. It involved the alleged crash and recovery of a UFO (and its occupants) as well as a government cover-up which followed. Other famous UFO incidents include (chronologically):
- The Foo Fighter sightings during World War II
- The Aztec, New Mexico UFO crash in 1948
- The deadly crash of Captain Thomas Mantell in 1948 while chasing a UFO in Kentucky
- The 1952 UFO wave which included sightings over Washington, DC
- The abduction of Antonio Villas-Boas in Brazil in 1957
- The abduction of Betty and Barney Hill in New Hampshire in1961
- The Soccorro, New Mexico alien encounter in 1964
- The Charles Hickson and Calvin Parker abduction in Mississippi in 1973
- The Mansfield, Ohio UFO encounter in 1973
- The Travis Walton abduction in Arizona in 1975
- The Rendelsham Forest (England) incident in 1980
- The Hudson Valley (New York) UFO sightings in 1982
- The Gulf Breeze UFO sightings during the late 1980s
- The Phoenix, Arizona sightings in 1997

Visitation:
Visitation is the interaction between human beings and entities from other realms of existence. The entities frequently exhibit superior intelligence and often utilize non verbal methods of communication. Visitation is frequently unexpected and spontaneous.and often includes the involuntary abduction of the subject. Most visitation experiences are terrifying but many can be positive and fulfilling. While visitation is a relatively widespread phenomenon, very little physical evidence supports it. This has led many people to speculate that it is a type of out-of-body experience and not a purely
physical one. Many entities encountered during visitation include:
Aliens: Aliens have been reported in every shape and size, but the most commonly reported type is a small, gray, hairless humanoid with slanted eyes and an underdeveloped mouth, nose, and ears. For additional information please visit:
Angels: Although quite enigmatic, the existence of angels is widely accepted by the world's major religions. Angles are messengers of God and frequently appear to individuals to warn, comfort, and protect during moments of crisis. Angels can appear in a variety of forms but usually appear in human form. Ironically, many angels have never lived or died. For additional information please visit:

Demons: Like angels, the existence of demons is accepted by the World's major religions. Demons, however, are messengers of evil (or evil spirits) and can also appear to individuals in moments of crisis. While many demons are actually fallen angels, they offer no comfort or message of hope. Demons can also appear in a variety of forms, and often take human form to deceive their subjects. Unlike angels, demons often possess (occupy) the bodies of individuals. Male demons who have sexual encounters with their subjects are called incubi while female demons who have sexual encounters with their subjects are called succubi. For additional information please visit:
Fairies: Of the many different types of fairies (also known as little people), the most widely recognized include elves, trolls, gnomes, goblins, mermaids, and leprechauns. Fairy lore predates modern history and modern UFOlogy is often considered an extension of it because the similarities are remarkable. The similarities include abduction, missing time, space & time travel, and profound revelations. For additional information please visit:
Men in Black: The term Men in Black (MIBs) refers to odd looking men (frequently dressed strange or outdated black suits) who claim to be government agents and attempt harass or threaten UFO witnesses into silence. MIBs also exhibit odd behaviors which include mechanical movements and monotonous speech patterns. Although they are frequently seen arriving and leaving in black cars (usually Cadillacs) many appear out of nowhere. Mysterious black helicopters have also been reported to make appearances in conjunction with MIB visitations. MIB manifestations began during the early 1950s, shortly after the modern UFO era began. For additional information please visit:
Spirits: Spiritual visitations can occur anytime, anywhere, to anyone. However, many people seem to be more susceptible to spiritual visitations following the loss of a recently deceased loved one. Visitations by deceased loved ones are usually not considered hauntings and often bring comfort and closure to the surviving loved one. Hauntings are related more to geographical areas rather than to people, and as a result, they are not considered visitations. For additional information please visit:

Weather Phenomena:
Weather is one of the dominating factors in the daily lives of human beings and strange weather phenomenon is often regarded as an omen or as a sign from God. Anomalous weather
phenomenon is quite common around the globe. It includes:
Ball Lightning: Ball lightning consists of relatively small glowing orbs which glide slowly through the air, usually close to the ground. It is common to swampy areas where gasses are produced by decaying foliage. Ball lightning is often mistaken for UFO activity. For additional information please visit:
Mirages: Mirages are distorted images created when light waves are bent and when light is reflected off of thin layers of air that vary in temperature. The most common type of mirage is the apparent appearance of water along a road or in flat area on a hot day. For additional information please visit:
St. Elmo's Fire: St. Elmo's' Fire is a visually stunning manifestation of glowing electrical discharges which engulf tall structures such as church spires, flag poles, bridges and sailing masts. Airplane wings are also susceptible to the phenomena. St. Elmo's fire usually appears during storms and has long been considered an omen by sailors at sea. For additional information please visit:
Strange Clouds: While it may be surprising that tranquil cloud formations are often mistaken for UFOs, it is even more surprising that many clouds seem to be alive. Enigmatic cloud activity often causes havoc and has been responsible for instances of mass hysteria. Such activity includes apparently malevolent clouds that chase people as well as clouds that move against the wind. For additional information please visit:
Strange Mist or Fog: Enigmatic Mist and fog usually signals the occurrence of anomalous activity at haunted sites, in the Bermuda Triangle, and around UFOs. There is very little information available however as to the causes and effects of enigmatic mists and fogs. For additional information please visit:
No additional information available
Strange Rain: Strange rains have been occurring since ancient times. They can consist of almost anything including animals, insects, objects, and blood falling from the sky for no apparent reason. Rains of frogs and fish are not uncommon worldwide. Theories suggest that distant tornadic activity is responsible, but no concrete explanation has been discovered. For additional information please visit:
Tornados: Like mist and fog, tornados are not anomalous. However, enigmatic cases have been
reported where people have been carried away by them for miles and then gently returned to the earth.
For additional information please visit:
Will-O-The-Wisp: These glowing and flickering lights are also known as swamp gas and appear in marshy areas, fields, and meadows usually after sunset. They are also associated with mischievous spirits because the playful lights tend to retreat when approached. For additional information please visit:

Reverse Speech:
Reverse speech is an amazing subliminal phenomenon which occurs when recorded speech is played backward and hidden messages emerge. It is believed that many people are attuned to these hidden messages even though they are not aware of them. The reverse messages are usually very short but relate directly to the speaker's forward speech. Reverse speech was first publicized during the 1980s when it's occurrence became common in music recordings. For additional information regarding reverse speech, please visit:

9/11: The horrific events of September 11, 2001 remain the defining moment of the 21st century and are often regarded as the greatest cover-up in human history. Conspiracy theorists contend that, despite its enormous scope, 9/11 is just one incremental step in a long string of terrorist acts carried out by US Government sources to spread fear among US citizens and hasten the creation of a permanent American police state. They argue that the enactment of the Patriot Act, immediately following the 9/11 attacks, has created a fascist society akin to Nazi Germany. Fueling this argument are the statements and actions of government officials (including comments that only a catastrophic terrorist act would serve as a successful catalyst). Other evidence they cite includes the audio & video footage documenting the actual attacks, insufficient airplane wreckage & building damage, and eyewitness accounts of missile launches & internal building detonations. Events often associated with, and believed by many to be related to, a 9/11 conspiracy include the 1993 siege of the Branch Davidian compound in Wako, the first World Trade Center attack in 1993, the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing, the 1996 crash of TWA Flight 800 off of Long Island, the attack on the USS Cole in the Gulf of Aden in 2000, the 2001 Anthrax killings, the governments' handling of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, and the ongoing failure by the US Government to seal US borders from illegal immigrants. For additional information please visit:
Chemtrails: Chemtrails are chemical exhaust trails allegedly emitted by unmarked, crisscrossing, high altitude jets. First reported in 1997, conspiracy theorists contend that governments are seeding the atmosphere with unknown and potentially harmful chemical compounds to lessen the effects of global warming and/or for biological testing or covert military purposes. Evidence cited includes dramatic and unexplained increases in medical ailments, including Asthma, as well as the unusual physical characteristics of the exhaust trails. Most notably, the thickness and dissipation duration of the trails are inconsistent with those of normal contrails. For additional information please visit:
